Cullen is the one I hope can step up but its a big difference between league 1 and the Prem. Seems he was tidy and busy from the comments below or is it just wishful thinking?

Ignoring our obvious lack of firepower up front, young Declan Rice impressed me a lot with his very mature performance. I predict he will go further at the club than Reece Oxford.

But Justin, both chances were exactly the same. The ball fell lovely on his left, and he chooses on both occasions to hit the ball as hard as he could without looking at the keeper.
A better player would have kept the cool and slotted it past the keeper instead.

Ayew lacked composure with those two big chances and put his foot through it rather than placing them. That's a big sign of a lack of confidence.
Early days but really uninspiring. We just don't seem to have a game plan in place. Ever.

Seem to remember that pre season both last year and the year before the kids looked bright quick and full of enthusiasm but as soon as things got serious they were hooked.

Feghouli looked like the best forward tonight but I'd hate that to mean we should keep him. Just pay his fcuking signing on fee and get shot Sullivan.
Then spend about £60m on a couple of real strikers FFS. You know it makes sense rather than fight relegation again...
